They have the right to work in safety, without fear of verbal, physical or racial abuse.
Little Bushey Surgery will treat with Zero Tolerance any form of physical or verbal abuse towards our staff and patients.
Abusive behaviour may result in removal of patients from our practice list with immediate effect.
All incidents will be followed up and the patient will be sent a formal warning letter. A copy of the letter will be kept in the patient's electronic medical records and any response to the letter will be recorded.
All aggressive behaviour, be it violent or verbally abusive, will not be tolerated and may result in you being removed from the Practice list and, in extreme cases, the Police may be contacted.
We would hope that this would be an uncommon event and where things have gone wrong, we could address the areas of disagreement before removal becomes necessary.
