Our Commitment To Safeguarding Children And Adults
This Practice is committed to promoting the health, development, safety and welfare of all children, families and adults at risk, attending here.
We recognise that the patient population we serve reflects a diverse community which include differences in culture, racial background, religion, social class, financial resources and ability.
Whilst family differences will be respected, differing cultural approaches to child rearing/caring for vulnerable adults will not be accepted as valid explanation for any action that is clearly causing harm.
Like all organisations (statutory or voluntary) we work with Government legislation and with best practice to inform how we work e.g. ‘What to do if you are Worried a Child is being Abused’ and ‘Safeguarding Adults Policy’.
Our commitment is to work in partnership with our patients and partner agencies to safeguard children and adults.
Further information and help can be found on the Domestic Abuse page.
