Blood tests

You can have a blood test at any of our hospital sites - Hemel Hempstead Hospital, St Albans City Hospital or Watford General Hospital.

You will need to book an appointment for your blood test through our online booking system, Swiftqueue. Register and book an appointment.

Our online booking system reduces waiting times and overcrowding, particularly at peak times.

For patients unable to book online, telephone booking is available Tuesday to Friday, between 9am and 1pm on 01727 897376.

If your GP has asked you to have a blood test, you must bring the blood test request form so that our staff know which tests have been requested. We can’t get the information we need from a mobile screen, so please bring the paper form so we can proceed with the test. On arrival, you can check in using our kiosk.
